Correlational Data Tool

CORA (affiliate link) is my most-used tool. I use it for testing, collecting data, and ranking websites. Disclaimer: I use it differently than most — but that is true with all tools. I’m an outside-the-box type of tool user. If you want the “Witcher View” of CORA, you have to take Tested SEO Training — otherwise you won’t really understand what to do with the streamlined data.

Spider Tool

Screaming Frog’s SEO Spider (not an affiliate link) is another tool we use to help determine technical issues.

Find Broken Links: Crawl a site instantly and find broken links (404s) and server errors. Bulk export errors and source URLs to fix, or send to a developer.

Audit Redirects: Find temporary and permanent redirects, identify redirect chains and loops, or upload a list of URLs to audit in a site migration.

Analyze Page Titles & Meta Data: Analyze page titles and meta descriptions during a crawl and identify those that are too long, short, missing, or duplicated.

Discover Duplicate Content: Find exact duplicate URLs with an md5 algorithmic check, partially duplicated elements such as page titles, descriptions or headings, and low-content pages.

Extract Data with XPath: Collect any data from HTML using CSS Path, XPath, or regex — social meta tags, additional headings, prices, SKUs, and more.

Review Robots & Directives: View URLs blocked by robots.txt, meta robots or X-Robots-Tag directives such as noindex/nofollow, as well as canonicals and rel="next"/rel="prev".

Screaming Frog’s standard license (as of August 2024) is $259. I can get you your own license that cannot be upgraded past Version 19 for $50.

Link Building Tool

The Simple Link Tool by Witcher Labs (not an affiliate link) — sparked by the genius of Ted Kubaitis (the mind behind CORA SEO software). When Ted worked in e-commerce, he discovered he could beat top sites like Amazon by building 25 backlinks to each product page. Manual link-building was out of the question for a site with thousands of products, so he engineered a unique system.

We tested several different systems to create 25 relevant backlinks to pages on our money sites, measuring both effectiveness and the time and money each method required.

During testing, we ran into the same headaches you do — time-consuming setup, expensive tools with mediocre results, the content-creation grind (even with AI), link decay from platforms that purge over time, crawling struggles, and a lack of scalable solutions.
